This itinerary will allow you to discover the beautiful Shekawati region with its painted havelis and picturesque rural life as well as Jaipur the capital city of Rajasthan, the pink city famous for its many palaces, forts, markets, crafts and jewelery. A perfect mix of city life and country life.

Time permitting, add a couple more days to see Fatehpur Sikri and Agra, the home of world famous Taj Mahal. Please note that we specialize in custom made tours and that the above itinerary is designed for people who have only a few days to get a glimpse of Rajasthan.

Enchancing Rajasthan - a leisurly itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel in Delhi

Day 2
After breakfast drive to Shekawati region (Mandawa, Alsisar, Jhunjhunu or Nawalgarh depending on hotel choice).

Day 3
Enjoy the beautiful Shekawati with its painted houses and rural atmosphere.

Day 4
Morning departure to Bikaner. Overnight in Bikaner or Gajner depending on hotel choice.

Day 5
En route to Jaisalmer, the city in the desert, and night in Jaisalmer in one of the hotels inside fort.

Day 6
Finish your visit of Jaisalmer and embark on your camel safari and night in the desert at one of our comfortable recommended safe campsites.

Day 7
Jodhpur, the blue city and the formidable Mehrangarh fort. Night in Jodhpur.

Day 8
Udaipur known as the most romantic city in Rajasthan, in a beautiful lake setting surrounded by the Aravali mountains. On the way you will visit Ranakpur and its delicately sculpted Jain temples.Night in Udaipur.

Day 9
Udaipur – One whole day to discover this beautiful city. Night in Udaipur.

Day 10
Bundi -Drive to Bundi which is off the beaten path and enjoy a different type of small town atmosphere. Night in Bundi.

Day 11
Jaipur – the pink city and capital of Rajasthan. Visit the City Palace and the Wind Palace . Enjoy shopping for local craft. Night in Jaipur.

Day 12
Jaipur – In the early morning you will visit the spectacular Amber fort that you reach on elephant back before transferring to Fatehpur Sikri, the “ghost city”, today a Unesco monument. Night in Agra.

Day 13
Agra – Early wake up call to enjoy sunrise at the Taj Mahal. This is a magical experience as you can see the marble of the magnificent monument softly reflect the shades of the morning sky. Visit Red fort and transfer to Delhi- Night in Delhi.

Day 14
Visit of old Delhi and departure according to your schedule.

Unforgettable Rajasthan - a leisurly itinerary

This itinerary is designed for visitors who have time to travel at a relaxed pace, are interested in photography and want enough time to capture memorable images to take home. It works well also for those who want to enjoy wildlife and nature or simply relax by a pool in the late afternoon . As often as possible, you will spend 2 nights in each location.

Start your tour in Delhi, the capital of India. It is a vibrant metropolis that will not leave you indifferent. Then enter Rajasthan which is the most famous and most visited state in India. It is the India you have seen in movies and read about. At every corner there is a grandiose fort, a group of chatris/senotaphs, a temple or a palace. Some of these buildiings have been transformed in Heritage hotels and are well worth a visit and even better, a stay.

Day 1
Arrival in Delhi and transfer to hotel

Day 2
After a good rest and a late breakfast, transfer to Mandawa. Night in Mandawa.

Day 3
Spend the day exploring the Shekawati region. Night in Mandawa.

Day 4
Drive from Mandawa to Bikaner. Witness rural life and share the road with colorful trucks, camels, goats, buffalos etc. all making you feel light years away from home. Night in Bikaner.

Day 5
Visit Bikaner and see the Deshnoke temple or Rat temple. Night in Bikaner.

Day 6
Bikaner- Phalodi. Night in Phalodi.

Day 7
Phalodi - Jaisalmer. See Pokaran on the way. Night in Jaisalmer.

Day 8
Visit the walled city and the havelis. Night in Jaisalmer.

Day 9
Enjoy a camel safari in the Thar desert. Night in desert near Jaisalmer (comfortable and safe tents or cottages).

Day 10
Jaisalmer – Jodhpur. Night in Jodhpur.

Day 11
Visit Jodhpur. Night in Jodhpur.

Day 12
Jodhpur - Ranakpur. Visit the Jain temples. Night in Ranakpur.

Day 13
Ranakpur - Udaipur. Night in Udaipur.
